Diagnosis and management of squamous‐cell vulval carcinoma
Authors
Abstract
Vulval cancer remains a rare disease in spite of a recent increased incidence, particularly in younger women. Diagnosing the condition therefore is problematic as it is uncommonly seen, especially in the primary care setting. An understanding of the importance of monitoring precursor lesions and recognising the signs and symptoms of significant vulval disease is important in order to recognise vulval cancer early and enable referral for radical treatments when appropriate.
